Robotics are nothing new to CES. Companies are always introducing new robots at CES almost every year. And this year, Samsung has had a few offers, including Bot Handy. This is the robot that you want for sure.
Bot Handy will be able to pick up laundry, load dishwasher, set table, pour wine, and even bring you a drink. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Don’t get excited, a lot of the bots featured at CES never appeared. Does anyone remember CES 2020 Ballie?
The Handy Bot is a tall, thin, black and white robot. It has large digital eyes that are able to change expressions as they move around your home. It has one arm that can rotate at three points. And it has a clasp-like hand at the end. Samsung has cameras all over the robot’s body, so you can get to know and locate objects at home.
This should be an ‘extension of you in the kitchen’.
to me Samsung, Bot Handy is supposed to be an “extension of you in the kitchen, living room, and wherever else you might need an extra hand in your home.” Which explains why it can do so many different things.
Samsung also says it will be able to recognize objects with the camera and artificial intelligence.
As mentioned, it’s not clear when or if Bot Handy will actually ship. But it’s a great product to say the least. And if it becomes available for purchase, it won’t be cheap. According to Samsung, it is “in development”.
This is just one of many future products at CES. Samsung among several other companies is moving to CES to showcase some futuristic products, including robots. Unfortunately, many of these products are not sold out by consumers.
