If you haven’t heard of Exploding Kittens before, I envy you for letting you discover this weirdness for the first time. We started covering the creation of Exploding Kittens back when the concept for a physical arcade game was first. At the time, The Oatmeal and Friends wanted to create a fast, fun and unnatural game. They created that game with great confidence.
Exploding cats have nothing to do with real real cats, real flames or ruining the lives of real cats. Instead, it’s all about avoiding bangs. You draw cards with a variety of actions when playing them. Each card brings your opponent closer to destruction.
Once the game became the most supported game in Kickstarter history, it became clear that there was potential for a digital version. Enter the Exploding Kittens app. This app is already in the Google Play app store and the Apple app store for iOS devices. Now it’s available for the Nintendo Switch in Nintendo Store.
Exploding cats will cost you around $ 10. So you get the original game as well as Streaking Kittens, Party Pack, and Betrayal Pack. You will also get “Exclusive Cards” and multiplayer play.
This game can be played alone, against opponents online, multiplayer at home, in mobile mode, table mode, TV mode, all these goodies. The game can be played with up to 5 players simultaneously, and its release is scheduled for April 8, 2021 – today.
Or, you can return to the original arcade game, which is still there and is being expanded – it’s more tangible and satisfying when you burst – unless you like the sound effects and you don’t have a family full of singles who just don’t. Create their own sound effects. Social distancing might make this a better bet in the digital world – so it’s a winner.
