According to some new informations Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra may ship with the best telephoto camera setup on the market.
This information comes from Ice Universe, and it follows the specifications of the Galaxy S21 series that surfaced. Most of this information was mentioned in this leak, but Ice Universe added some additional information.
Now, in addition to the 108MP main camera (2nd generation sensor), and the 12MP ultra-wide camera, the Galaxy S21 Ultra tends to offer two zoom cameras.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra might ship with the best telephoto camera setup out there
Both cameras will be 10MP, and it will be very convincing. One of them will offer 3x optical zoom, and feature a 1 / 2.8-inch 1.22-micron-pixel lens, with Dual Pixel technology.
The other will offer 10x optical zoom, along with the same lens and pixel size. Dual Pixel technology will be included with that camera as well. This, on paper, appears to be the most powerful optical zoom display on the market.
This is a big improvement over what the Galaxy S20 Ultra offered. It appears to even outperform the Huawei P40 Pro + … on paper. We still have to see how well it will work, of course.
As a reminder, Galaxy S20 Ultra introduced a 48MP (Periscope) telephoto camera with a 1/2-inch sensor, 0.8μm pixel size and 10x hybrid zoom. The Galaxy S21 Ultra setup will make sure that no digital cropping is required.
This definitely sounds interesting on paper, to say the least. Samsung really plans to ramp up the camera game with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It appears that this device will easily distinguish itself from the Galaxy S21 and S21 +.
Speaking of that, these three devices are expected to arrive early next year. All three are claimed to launch in January, not at the end of February, when Samsung usually announces its S series phones.
