The classic first-person tactical shooter Star Wars: Republic Commando has just been announced for re-release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The full redesigned version of this game with updated controls and a brand new angle will be delivered to fans. This game has been given a remake by the folks at Aspyr, the same people who brought Star Wars Racer (podracing) from the past here to the future!
This game is one of the few places that actor and voice actor Timoeira Morrison has voiced both Bubba Fett and Django Fett, as well as a delta squad leader Delta Three-E. Since he was (and still is) Django Fett, as well as his (cloned) son Boba Fett, and the model for all clones of the Republic, it would have been a tragedy if he had not been in the mix – but he is!
Below you will see a trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of the game. This game will allow the user to “relive the legendary campaign with modern controls.” Delta Squad in full effect.
For PlayStation 4 and 5, this game is given a kick in the pants to work with DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers. Regardless of whether you play this game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, it will be an enhanced experience, which is flattering. New “trophies” are included in the game on PlayStation 4 and 5 as well.
Star Wars: Republic Commando release date 6 April 2021. This game will be released on both Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 4 (and PS5 backwards compatible). The game is being brought back to life by the same people who brought a huge variety of Star Wars games into the future: ASPYR, which means the game will cost anywhere between $ 10 and $ 20 – we’ll see!
Note: You can also find Aspyr remasters for Star Wars games like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords (mobile) and Star Wars Racer (podracing) for PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for PlayStation and Switch, and Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast for PlayStation and Switch.
