Sony shares Android 11 launch schedule for Xperia phones

Google launched Android 11 OS back in September and it’s packed with some great features. Sony has now shared a detailed schedule for the release of Android 11 for Xperia phones.

Brands like Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, etc. You have already rolled out the stable Android 11 update or are in beta testing. Soon, Sony will be joining this cart.

Android is a mature operating system. By “mature” we mean that there is less room to add new features. . More emphasis is now being placed on improving and developing existing features.

Apparently, Android 11 also got the same treatment from Google. No, we don’t deny that Android 11 doesn’t bring any new features. It’s not nearly as hard as we used to in the early days of Android.

Whatever the case, Android 11 is more refined, and really enhances the overall user experience. Since these are the early days of the OS, many OEMs have yet to release Android 11 firmware updates for their eligible devices.

On the other hand, Sony is completely ready and ready to roll out the December Android 11 update with the Xperia 1 II. It launched the Xperia 1 II this year, and it’s the company’s flagship offering for this year.

Sony Xperia 1 II is also set to receive slow-motion video recording in [email protected] Frames per second

Earlier, it was confirmed that the Sony Xperia 1 II would receive an update that would provide support for slow motion video recording in [email protected] Frames per second.

The other premium offerings from the company, the Xperia 10 II and Xperia 5 II, will get the Android 11 update by the end of January 2021. Finally, the Xperia 1 and 5 will get the Android 11 update starting from February.

Some of the main features that Sony has highlighted that it will provide with Android 11 are improved chat management, conversation bubbles, and native screen recording. Enhanced security and much more.

Sony isn’t a name to reckon with when it comes to rolling out firmware or quick security updates. Recently, some improvements have been made in the rollout of security updates. But it has a lot more to catch in the firmware department.

So, it’s good to see Sony take charge. However, there is no news of other models. We expect Android 11 may not reach any other Sony Xperia devices. This includes last year’s mid-range Xperia 10 and 10 Plus models.

Sony’s Android 11 release schedule is largely restricted to a handful of devices, which may bother users of older Sony Xperia devices. For more information, you can contact us Here.
