Pokemon GO Shiny Buizel and how to get it

Starting soon, users will have access to the much awaited Shiny Buizel in Pokemon GO. This little Pokemon is one of many Pokemon that appear in Pokemon GO in greater numbers starting January 12, 2021. At that time, you’ll be able to find specific Pokemon much easier than usual like the Pokemon GO universe inches towards the big event: Pokemon Go Tor Kanto!

Sinnoh is the reason for the season to start on January 12, 2021. At that time, Pokemon such as Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Bidoof, Cranidos, Shieldon, Combee, Buizel, Drifloon, Glameow, Purugly, Hippopotas, Skorupi and Snover will appear in greater numbers in the wild. This event will feature Shiny Buizel and Shiny Floatzel right outside the gate!

As is usually the case during an event like this, Shiny Floatzel and Shiny Buizel will continue to be in the game through the future – after the end of the event. The important part here is that they will be available in much greater numbers during the event than they will be at any time in the future.

If you’ve been looking for Pokemon in Pokemon Eggs during this event, you’ll find Kricketot, Budew, Cranidos, Shieldon, Bronzor, Bonsly, Hippopotas, and Croagunk among those who hatch from 5-kilometer eggs. If you’ve been looking to acquire Pokemon via Field Research, you’ll find bonus encounters like Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Cranidos, Shieldon, and Buizel. *

* Since Buizel is available as a bonus, there are two ways in which you can achieve Shiny Buizel. You’ll likely find this Pokemon in the wild as a shiny Pokemon starting on day twelve, but there’s always that bonus!

There is a set of Sinnoh-themed Collection Challenges for this event which includes capturing Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Cranidos, Shieldon, Combee, Buizel, Shadow Stunky, and Shadow Snover. This means that you will need to defeat some Team Rocket opponents to obtain Shadow Monsters.

If you pick up enough Pokemon to challenge the Sinnoh Collection, you’ll receive Stardust, 15 Super Balls, and Magnetic Lure!

The Snuh Region event will take place on Tuesday 12 January 2021 at 10:00 AM until Sunday 17 January 2021 at 8:00 PM local time. After this event ends, there will be another major event in the region. The Hoenn District event will take place from January 19, 2021 to Sunday, January 24, 2021!
