NETGEAR has just dropped a new router that’s great and perfect for gamers

If you play online games at home, you definitely want a really good router, and NETGEAR has just dropped a new gamer-perfect router that will easily put other routers to shame.

The new router is the latest offering from NETGEAR’s Nighthawk range of routers. called Nighthawk RAXE500. It provides a lot of excellent features for any home with a highly traded network. Whether it’s playing games online, streaming games, streaming videos, streaming music, or combining all of these things.

But the most notable feature that makes this NETGEAR router ideal for gamers is the WiFi 6E support. This promises to give players (and even non-gamers) more bandwidth with less interference.

Gamers will need this NETGEAR router for WiFi 6E alone

Sure, the router looks great, but there are more functional reasons why gamers want this new router. Specifically support WiFi 6E.

This is a tri-band router and allows for communication in the 6GHz band. As NETGEAR indicates, this router will save 200% more of the available spectrum for connecting devices compared to dual-band routers. Which only supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

That alone is enough of a reason to want this router if you play online games. Especially if a portion of these games are via platforms like Stadia, Xbox Game Pass, GeForce NOW, or Shadow. But there are more features worth noting.

For example, pre-optimized antennas and 5Gb Ethernet ports. All of these features have a cost. And if you want a router this powerful, you’ll need to pay because the Nighthawk RAXE500 isn’t cheap.

Running all your devices on this router will make you the envy of all your gaming friends.

NETGEAR plans to ship in mid-March

The router is not technically available yet. But you can pre-order it now from NETGEAR if you are willing to part with the money.

It retails for $ 599. And it is a big request for anyone looking to upgrade their router. But it is also worth noting that this is not the router you choose if you don’t connect many different devices in the house.

Or if you do but are not concerned about bandwidth congestion. Another thing to keep in mind is that even if this is the type of router you are looking for, the devices you plan to connect to will also need WiFi 6E support if you want to take advantage of it.

Additional features of this router include 12 tri-band WiFi broadcasts, which are divided into four streams per band. It means four streams for the 6GHz band, four for the 5GHz band, and four for the 2.4GHz band.

It also comes with more advanced security. If you are interested in choosing this router yourself, you can do so From the NETGEAR website.
