Here are four major fixes for Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming 1.2 release

At some point in the near future, CD Projekt Red plans to ship Cyberpunk 2077Version 1.2. This is the second of two big patches that will fix some major issues in the game, and today, CD Projekt Red revealed some fixes that will come along with it. While what CD Projekt Red announced today should be just a bait for the update as a whole, the fixes detailed are definitely some of the major fixes that gamers have been waiting for.

The four fixes were revealed today in Development Insight 1.2 Blog post On the Cyberpunk 2077 website. The extended blog post is written as if it’s a news report in the universe from N54 News, so it can be a bit difficult to analyze what CD Projekt Red is talking about. Thankfully, the developer has previewed all of these fixes in their individual videos, which you can see included in this article.

The first major fix shipped with Update 1.2 will change how quickly police can appear after players commit crimes. Previously, police would spawn a crime scene the second they were committed, but this correction will make their response somewhat more realistic – giving the player a chance to evade a gunfight with them.

There will also be some leadership-centered reforms. Players will have new steering sensitivity options that will make driving through Night City even easier. We are sure this change will be most welcome because leadership has often been an exercise in frustration Cyberpunk 2077.

Plus, in the event that the vehicles get stuck in the geometry of the world, they’ll have a way to decipher it. Players will be able to spin and shake their vehicles to bring all four wheels back to flat ground, so if a cool car gets stuck somewhere and has to leave it behind, I hope this is a thing of the past afterward. This update drops.

Finally, CD projekt Red will implement a new switch that will allow players to turn off shuffle on the action switches. There were a lot of complaints from players making unintended dribbles during the fight when they were instead trying to do short moves in quick succession, so we think this would be a welcome change too.

Update 1.2 was originally scheduled to be released in February, but after a security breach in CD Projekt Red where hackers hacked a set of internal company documents and source code for a number of games, the studio had to postpone its release schedule. The company is now targeting a release for the second half of March, which means the update will arrive very soon. We’ll let you know when CD Projekt Red announces more, so stay tuned.
