Both iOS and Android versions of Google Maps will get all-time registered statuses for a specific region. Also, links will be provided to local authorities for medical or emergency purposes.
Real-time congestion is also an essential and important feature that is added to Google Maps with the new update. Apparently, with this feature, users will be able to see how busy your bus or train is.
So, by glancing at the information from the real-time congestion, users can change their travel plans accordingly. The accuracy of the results depends on the popularity of the place.
Google Maps also gets live status for the pick-up and drop-off feature
Good news for Google Maps users in the US, Canada, Germany, Australia, Brazil or India, as these regions get the live status of the ordering and delivery feature.
You will be able to track your food order, view waiting times, and delivery charges. Moreover, you will also be able to view restaurant reservation status in more than 70 countries.
One of the long-awaited and long-tested features is the Google Maps Assistant driving mode. Note that this feature is currently available for English-language Android users only. This is also in the United States.
With this feature, users can make use of their voice to answer voice calls or send text messages. In fact, users can also have the assistant read their message aloud without even having to look at the phone.
In addition to that, you will also be able to control media playback without having to leave the navigation screen. You can enable this feature by heading to File Assistant Settings >> Navigation >> Driving Mode.
Note that all features, except for the driving mode for Google Maps, are available for both Android and iOS users. A new update will be rolling out to all users in the coming weeks.
