Google finally launched one of the features it has been talking about since the release of Stadia, with the introduction of State Share alongside Hitman 3.
Hitman 3 will be released on Stadia on January 20, and State Share will be one of the main features that take advantage of the technology the platform is based on. But it doesn’t stop there. Because Google confirms that State Share will be usable in Agent 47’s full game trilogy.
Meaning, you’ll have an easy way to introduce friends to the Hitman series if they haven’t tried it before. Not just with the latest version.
State Share will let your friends experience playable scenarios in Hitman games
We can all agree that Stadia didn’t take off as often as people had been expecting. But Stadia has come a long way in a short period of the year.
All of its new features make it an even more powerful platform to play games on. State involvement will make it even better. Especially for those who want to try things out. Here’s how it works.
Let’s say you have a friend who you’ve never played in any of the Hitman games. They might want to give it a try but they don’t want to spend money on it just to be disappointed. Or they might have tried others and weren’t sure if they wanted Hitman 3.
You can capture a video of your gameplay and what State Share will do is create a unique playable scenario for them to check. This allows them to basically test the game to see if they like it. You’re basically creating your own demo of a game that you can share with anyone.
It works for captured images, too. And not just with the videos. So if you find yourself in a situation where you can take a really cool screenshot, do so.
Country participation will come to the other games throughout 2021
Hitman 3 might be the first game to be State share It’s getting close but it won’t be the last. Not by a long shot.
Google didn’t let games that would get the next feature after that. But it does confirm that State Share will be launched with other games throughout 2021. For Hitman 3, the feature will include a mission start location at the start of the level. As well as the ability to accomplish mission goals.
It will also include player loading and mission difficulty. So anyone who tries the playable scenario that I created will experience things as if they did the task normally.
