There are several spacecraft in orbit around Mars, including the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter. ExoMars recently snapped a photo from its orbital position following the Perseverance Rover landing showing the rover as a spot on Mars along with discarded components from the lander. The image shows what the surface of the Red Planet now looks like, with another rover roaming its surface.
The picture Above, the rover parachute and rear projectile, the impact site of the landing stage, the tenacity carriage itself in the center, and the round heat shield are on the far right. The photo was taken by ExoMars on February 23, which is a joint mission between the European Space Agency and the Russian company Roscosmos.
The European Space Agency released the photo on February 25, showing the discarded components that were needed to safely deliver the spacecraft to Earth on February 18. ExoMars had a role to play during the Landing of Perseverance by transmitting data about the spacecraft to Earth, allowing mission planners to see what the landing was like.
ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter has been in orbit around Mars since October 19, 2016. It is filled with tools aimed at sampling and analyzing particles in the Martian atmosphere with the goal of helping scientists understand how atmospheric gases such as methane appearing in small quantities can indicate biological or activity Geologist of distant planets.
The orbit has multiple cameras, a color imaging system and a stereo surface, which is the perseverance it has captured. When the photo was taken, the orbiter was 249 miles above the surface of Mars. Earlier this week, NASA shared a photo of the landing stage and a smoke plume from its wreckage.
