China warns of “new cold war”

This Monday, January 25, Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the World Economic Forum in Davos through a video interposed. The notably warned of a “new cold war” which can only lead to “a dead end” and has arisen, without ever naming the United States, as a defender of multilateralism and globalization.

Less than a week after Joe Biden arrived at the White House, the strongman from Beijing appeared to warn him against a continuation of the Chinese policy of his predecessor that had made China his number one rival, especially in commercial and technological terms. The communist regime is particularly afraid that Joe Biden wants to unite Westerners against it.

“Building clans or starting a new cold war, rejecting, threatening or intimidating others, imposing disassociations, interrupting supply chains or sanctions to cause isolation will only push the world into division and even confrontationXi Jinping warned: “And the confrontation will lead us to a dead end.”
