CAF bans journalists and spectators from the Nigeria-Sierra Leone match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) banned journalists and spectators from attending the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match between Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

The Nigerian Football Association (NFA) Competitions Director, Paula Uyudd, announced in a statement issued by the Nigerian Football Association spokesman, Ademula Olager, on Monday.

“We would like to inform the public that journalists or spectators will not be permitted to enter Samuel Ogambodia Stadium, Benin City on Friday in the 2022 African Nations Cup qualification match between Super Eagles and Sierra Leone Stars.

The virtual press conference would, if possible, be of media officials from both teams, while only the rights TV channels are allowed to give quick interviews.

Also, only the photographers of the participating teams are permitted to enter the venue.

Finally, only individuals approved by the National Football Confederation will be permitted to enter the stadium to attend the match.
