Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta jumped to defend Alexandre Lacazette after the striker came under fire after losing 3-0 to Aston Villa.
Lacazette missed the babysitter, 1-0, before Ole Watkins pulled his brace to finish the match.
Although the gunners were poor that day, the Frenchman was a target of angry fans on social media.
Lacazette scored three goals in his first three matches of the season, but did not score any of his last six matches.
However, Arteta insisted that he and his crew must do more to “help” underperforming players like Lacazette.
“My job is to get the best results from the players and put them in the best possible scenarios.
After the match, Arteta said, “If they don’t play, it’s because we will help them more.”
