The folks at Animal Crossing: New Horizons revealed this week that you’ll soon have a long-awaited feature for this game. Starting November 19, 2020, users will be able to transfer data from a Nintendo Switch console to another Nintendo Switch console. They will need to initiate the said transfer using the free Island Transfer Tool app that will appear in the Nintendo eShop soon, if it is not already there by the time this article is published!
The big difference between transfers using the Island Transfer Tool app is the status of the island representative. If you aren’t an Island representative, you’ll be able to transfer the character, home, and inventory from one Nintendo Switch to another. If you are a representative of the island, you will be able to transfer the entire island at once.
In the next few weeks, we’ll also see a host of holiday-themed features in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Thanksgiving Day / “Turkey Day” will be held on November 26, 2020. At that time, Franklin will appear in the town square. Franklin is a turkey chef who seems ready to handle every type of ingredient except for the turkey – because that would be terrifying and quirky.
From December 26th to December 31st, New Year’s Eve items will be available at the Nook Stop. On December 24th, black-nosed reindeer will appear in town, ready to distribute the toys to individuals on the island.
Christmas on the gift day will be called Game Day in-game. Cranny will have toys and the Able Sisters will have party outfits starting December 1. And all of this will continue until December 31, at which point it will be time to move to 2021.
The big update also includes the unique Animal Crossing game: Pocket Camp Nook Phone. If you connect both the Pocket Camp app and your New Horizons account to the same Nintendo account, you’ll get this new phone for free.
